Covert Football Trips – Back on sale soon!

Your Mystery Football Weekend will soon be available to book and with Covid-19 still creating so many questions we thought we would put all the information in one place for you which we will update accordingly.

At present, many people are rightly anxious about the logistics of the traffic light system. Even as things become a little less restrictive and regulations are set out, it is still a scary risk to take, no matter how exciting the option of a Mystery Football Weekend is. We have put this document together to offer full transparency for our customers about everything that is going on.

Whilst many of you are rightly thinking about health protection, it is also worth clearing up the legal protection against the increased possibility of cancellations and rescheduling.  You should have complete confidence in booking with us – we are a member of Protected Trust Services so your booking is protected by the PTS Independent travel trust account,

Summer 2021 Refund Guarantee

As massive football fans we know that you want to start planning next season’s trips and that may include one of our Mystery Football Weekends.

Therefore, due to unconfirmed lockdown laws in each country we are offering a complete change-of mind on all bookings made during June and July 2021.  Should it look uncertain whether lockdown laws or capacity restrictions will still apply in the countries you may travel to for your chosen date, then you may request a 100% refund by August 15th 2021.  After this date the normal terms and conditions regarding cancellations will apply.

We will be taking bookings soon for October 1st onwards when we believe we can best offer our match experiences.

Entry Requirements at your Place of Destination

We will make bookings for your Mystery Football Weekend to countries which we expect to appear, or are already, on the Green List to limit the risk of disruption to the trip.  Due to Covid 19 there may be additional ‘entry requirements’ that you must comply with before travelling to your destination.  This may include:

  • Submitting a form to provide various information either before departure or on arrival
  • The need to produce a negative covid-19 test before departure
  • The need to take one or more covid-19 tests during your trip
  • The need to quarantine on arrival.

Passport and VISA’s

In addition to this you should check the usual requirements such as passports and VISA’s.  It is your responsibility to check all of the requirements for your destination before you travel.

Entry Requirements on Return to the UK

The UK government has introduced a ‘traffic light scheme’ which sets out additional ‘entry requirements’ that you must comply with before you return to the UK.  This may include:

  • Submitting a form to provide various information either before departure or on arrival
  • The need to produce a negative Covid-19 test before departure
  • The need to take one or more Covid-19 tests after you return
  • The need to quarantine on arrival.

It is your responsibility to check all of the requirements for your destination before you return to the UK.  The UK government has a lot of useful guidance on the current ‘entry requirements’ here.

Match Ticket Restrictions

At the time of making your booking for a Mystery Football Weekend, due to Coronavirus, there may be no guarantee as to stadium capacities at each level of match in each country.  We will select countries which offer the best availability of match tickets in order to best accommodate the guarantee of top-flight matches within your package.

When we book your trip, if stadium capacities within all reasonable destinations fall below a critical threshold which would prevent us being able to obtain tickets then we may need to offer alternative level match tickets instead.  For example the TOR Package which guarantees at-least one match in the Bundesliga 1 or 2 could change to having both matches at Regionalliga level.  Restrictions could be due to lower capacities, only allowing in season-ticket holders, only allowing residents of the country to attend, or a mixture of these factors. These will be based on lockdown rules due to coronavirus which are beyond our control and only exercised in extreme circumstances.

In the unlikely event where travel is permitted but attendance to any level of match is not allowed due to coronavirus restrictions then the trip would go ahead and we would refund you the cost of the match ticket.
