With the Covid-19 situation ever changing both here in the UK and across Europe, the position of our Mystery Football Weekend packages has been ever-changing.  Whilst they were briefly on sale for immediate travel in the Autumn, the current situation has meant we are not booking trips for January and February 2022.  The good news is that we DO have some packages available….

TOR! Mystery Football Weekend to Germany

Our most popular package, TOR!, which is a Mystery Football Weekend in Germany, is currently the only package we have available to book later this year.

In December as cases rose, Germany introduced capacity restrictions in The Bundesliga to a maximum of 50% and a maximum of 15,000 spectators making it very difficult to obtain tickets.  Previously in Germany some matches have been “Geisterspiel” or Ghost Games, those which take place but without spectators.  However, we would all like to hope that by the Spring things would have changed and this is why we have packages available to book now for late March, April and May 2022.

Travel Restrictions

The biggest factors for many when travelling abroad for a Mystery Football Weekend understandably are the travel restrictions, isolation periods and of course understanding all procedures.  This not only can very country to country, but can change overnight anywhere which is the most difficult thing to stay on top of.

With Omicron currently at high levels of infection and countries realising that closing borders will not now help fight infection levels, the good news is that borders are opening up again.

Back in December, Germany had insisted that arrivals from the UK would be required to isolate for ten days upon arrival, however at 11pm on the 3rd January that restriction was removed allowing entry into the country without any isolation so long as you are double vaccinated.  Proof of this is required with Germany also now accepting the NHS Vaccination record via the app (not a card or photo of the status).

What else is needed?  All travellers to Germany must complete a Pre-Departure Digital Registration which is required upon entry regardless of vaccination status.

Before arriving back in the UK you must complete a Passenger Locator Form which must be done within the 48 hours before you arrive and finally, on arriving back into the UK, things have also eased.  Whilst you must take a Lateral Flow Test or PCR Test before the end of Day 2 (Day 0 is when you land in the UK), you do not have to isolate whilst you wait for the result.

Flexible Bookings

With many things still not certain, our terms and conditions protect you, allowing you to book with complete peace of mind.  Book now for your TOR Mystery Football Weekend and have complete flexibility on cancelling should rules on entry to the country change.

Summary

We are hopeful that by March 2022 the German authorities will further relax the attendance at stadiums and football matches and with that in mind we have our TOR Mystery Football Weekend available to book right now.
